Happy Heritage Day 2021, South Africa!
On 24 September each year, South Africans celebrate our cultural heritage, nurturing and embracing South African culture for what it truly is, the diversity of our beliefs and traditions. The recent unrest, violence and looting that affected South Africa in July 2021, brought us together as South Africans as we saw the cleaning up operations as a collective effort, highlighting our interconnectiveness and the importance of our communities. Instead of dividing us, we pulled together!
But 24 September is also officially ‘Braai Day’ and we trust that you will enjoy your Heritage Day, whether traditional, modern, with friends and family or just ‘chilling’. May we, as a nation, grow cohesively and embrace our cultural diversity without judgement.
For those first responders on duty, our utmost respect!

“As I walked out the door toward the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn't leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I'd still be in prison.” ~ Nelson Mandela
