We welcome September with open arms and a grateful heart! With the beautiful Spring blossoms and bird song comes a vitality and energy that wants to leave the nightmare COVID-19 Lockdown period behind and work towards a healthy, united South Africa. But we need to focus on our own responsibility for not being part of the problem/COVID-19 spread but rather the solution. Vigilance is key!
As we enter Spring and the next phase of COVID-19, we thank all our first responders and frontline workers for their amazing effort. The fear of taking the virus home to your family must be immense. The responsibility of taking care of those infected, responding to your usual fire, EMS and MVA callouts during these demanding times can take its toll. Please take care of yourselves.
For those who have passed and those who have lost loved ones, colleagues, friends or family during this period, may they rest in peace.
