Toughest Firefighter Alive South Africa: Support the teams in Mossel Bay!

This week will see firefighting teams from across South Africa taking part in the Toughest Firefighter Alive South Africa Challenge 2024.
The TFA-SA 2024 will see more than 300 firefighters partaking to see who is the toughest male and female!
With an extra special participant from Hamburg Fire Department in Germany as a guest at this year’s event, Jens Ludeke brings an international flair to the TFA-SA.
The TFA-SA will also include the Mini TFA 2024 for kids as well as the TFA-Dräger Young Adults Challenge to not only entertain the youngsters and young adults but also provide some insight into the fire and rescue challenges and “conditions”.
Hosted by Mossel Bay, the TFA-SA will also showcase fire and rescue equipment, tools and gear with Industrial Fire and Hazard Control, Southey Contracting and Survival Technology as main sponsors. Exhibits will include the Western Cape Government Disaster Management and Fire/Rescue Services, Metro Rescue, Dräger Fire, Vanguard Fire and Safety, Uhambo Safety Wear and Equipment, Charnaud and ETS with Fire and Rescue International as media partner.
There will also be some demonstrations including a drone demonstration from Metro Rescue.
Founders and organisers of the TFA-SA, the NPO, Firefighters for Excellence Foundation, has the following objectives:

Headed up by Mark Smith, the TFA-SA highlights the importance of fitness, leadership, mentorship, perseverance and camaraderie.

- Promoting relationship building with previously disadvantaged communities.
