Structural fire at Peter Place in Sandton, Johannesburg, dowsed
A fire broke out at an office building at Peter Place situated in Sandton, Johannesburg on Thursday, 4 March 2021. Fire Ops South Africa, a private fire service, responded after the incident was reported via their App at 15h43. “On arrival at 15h57, fire crews stopped the fire spread into the back offices on the bravo side of the building. The ultra-high pressure system was taken up on the outside of the building and used in the ceiling of the delta side of the building, successfully extinguishing the fire, preventing further spread. Damping down and salvage was initialised and moveables were placed in unburnt offices and covered with salvage sheets. Fire was extinguished at 16h18.”
