Andrew Boden of Mediclinic Southern Africa and founder of ER24, passes on
ER24 notes with sadness the passing of Andrew Boden, related business executive for Mediclinic Southern Africa, on Wednesday, 17 March 2021. Andrew was also the founder of the Mediclinic subsidiary, ER24. Throughout his career, Andrew’s contribution to the company has been invaluable and this loss will be felt throughout the business, personally and professionally. In his most recent role as related business executive, Andrew was deeply involved in investigating new opportunities and growing the company as it expands in accordance with the vision of operating across the continuum of care.
Andrew founded ER24 in August 2000 and dedicated his time and expertise to build one of the most extensive emergency medical services in South Africa. He valued family and professionalism and incorporated it throughout the business. Andrew touched everyone he encountered, and his impact will not be forgotten by those who knew and understood him. He never passed up an opportunity to interact on an individual level with employees regarding their day or experiences and always ensured that the company positively contributed to the community it serves. Mediclinic Southern Africa has taken the decision to honour Andrew and his significant legacy to our organisation by flying our Mediclinic flag at half-mast with lowering of the flag taking place as of 18 March 2021 until it is raised on 23 March 2021.
