Fire stations of the world: Dublin Fire Brigade’s Dún Laoghaire Fire Station, Ireland
Dún Laoghaire Fire Station, known as Number 12 Station within Dublin Fire Brigade, is situated at Kill Avenue, Honeypark in Dún Laoghaire County, Dublin in Ireland. The fire station was opened in 1992 by Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown County Council for the then stand-alone Dún Laoghaire Fire Brigade from their old HQ in the town. In 1994 the Dún Laoghaire Fire Brigade amalgamated with the Dublin Fire Brigade and was given the designation Number 12 station. It is part of "alpha" district, which also incorporates Donnybrook and Rathfarnam fire stations.
It currently houses two class B water tenders, Delta 121 and 122 and an aerial hydraulic platform, Delta 126. Sources: Dublin Fire Brigade |
