Never look down on someone unless you are going to help them up
That's the essence of leadership; helping your people reach their full potential, helping your team maximize their gifts, and helping people to become the best version of themselves. What makes you effective as a leader is not the title you hold. Instead, it’s demonstrating an unrelenting focus on helping others succeed in their collective efforts. Leadership is a tremendous responsibility and a privilege because you can influence the trajectory of someone's personal and professional life positively or negatively. As Jesse Jackson puts it, never look down on your team unless you are helping them develop into great leaders.
