AGNF and other international organisation supports EMA, Namibia

Since 2019, EMA slogan is “there when you need us”. Alone in 2025 the nonprofit organisation assisted patients in the value of over NAD400 000.00 so far. EMA is a community service and registered nonprofit organisation and depending on donations to make their mission possible. In 2023 Dirk Pfeiffer of ITLS Germany was in Namibia for the first time and saw the work of EMA at first hand. The work inspired him to speak to his friends and colleagues in Germany and Austria to donate urgent needed medical equipment.
Klaus Meyer, first Chairman of the “Arbeitsgemeinschaft Notfallmedizin Fuerth eV (AGNF) didn’t hesitate and was the first to donate a modern ventilator for emergency patients. This donation was followed by other donations by other organisations and private persons. Alone the donation of the AGNF had a financial volume of over NAD 60 000.
Fabian Martens, first chairman of EMA, welcomed the donations at the main Emergency Base of EMA at Windhoek West. Martens said, “Access to emergency and rescue services is essential for the health and well-being of the public. The donation of the AGFN and the other donors will assist EMA with their work to offer high standard emergency and medical services to the public”.
On delivery the equipment was put in duty on the ambulances and emergency vehicles of the organisation. Dirk Pfeiffer organiser of mentioned, “It is a great honour to organise these donations for the important use to the Namibian public and the patients of EMA,” at the hand over. Further, he promised to do everything possible to organise more donations.
Over the years, EMA saw an increase of the need of their services. While it was a linear increase in 2020 to 2022, EMA had an unexpected increase of their service need in 2023 and ongoing up till now. This increase of emergencies also increased the need of donations and support of the work of EMA.
“With the ongoing increase of costings, the nonprofit organisation kindly ask you for support in form of donations for fuel or monitory donations to the organisation. The sponsorship of companies and private persons towards our organisation is vital for our patients and for us,” Fabian Martens commented to the current increased costing situation.
Donations as of the AGNF and initiatives of private people like Dirk Pfeiffer makes the work of EMA possible whereof many Windhoek residence benefit from to receive high standard emergency care.
