The 14th World Firefighters Games will be held in Lisbon in Portugal on 30 April 2022 to 7 May 2022. The World Firefighters Games is an international sporting event that welcomes all fire fighters and their immediate direct family from all across the globe. The games began in 1988 with the first-ever World Firefighters Games held in Auckland, New Zealand in 1990. This initial outing drew 1 800 athletes and 1 400 supporters from 17 countries. The event will include archery, cycling, karate, skeet, soccer, softball, stair run, squash, swimming, a marathon, muster/athlete’s march, petanque, table tennis, Toughest Firefighter Alive, tennis, track and field, pocket billiards, poker, power lifting, rowing (indoor), treasure hunt, triathlon, tug-of-war, volleyball, wrestling, windsurfing, trap, rugby sevens, darts, firehouse cook-off, fire truck challenge, open water fishing, high angle rescue, horseshoes, judo, golf, arm wrestling, badminton, basketball, bucket brigade, body building, cross country, bowling and boxing,
