Advanced Course in Wildfire investigation in George from 3 to 5 June 2019
I am planning to present the above specialist-course in George, as this will then be within easy reach of most, with accommodation and meals costs at a minimum and in good budget lodge. The basis of this course will be the 'Cornelis de Ronde and Johann George Goldammer Book': Wildfire Investigation, Guidelines for Practitioners, A GFMC Publication, 2015.There are already some potential participants who have indicated that they are interested in attending this course and I will send them this formal invitation to their own email addresses. At this point, it is necessary to point out that I can only handle a maximum of 12 participants, as one of the three days of the course will be spent on 'hands-on' PC work, on programmes, which I will provide the participants for downloading (see programme contents in the PDF file). Participants will thus be required to bring their own PCs for the duration of the course. International accreditation for this course is still being investigated.
Please indicate if you want to attend this course, costs of which will include the purchase price for this book. I am also planning to provide full registration fee information by about 31 March 2019. Please advise me earliest if you want to attend this course because numbers of participants will be restricted and will be accepted on a ‘first come first serve’ basis.
Individuals wanting to attend this course should advise me via email to firstname.lastname@example.org that they want to attend this course. This notification should reach me not later than 15 April 2019, in time to order the books and for the booking the conference facilities.
More information about the logistics required for accommodation booking will also be provided in the next announcement planned to go out by 31 March 2019.
