The 2025 Institute of Fire Engineers South Africa (IFE SA) annual general meeting (AGM) and conference will take place on 18 and 19 September 2025. In this conference, practitioners and industry leaders will exchange knowledge, innovations and best practices in fire protection and safety. This is an invitation to professionals seeking to share their knowledge and experience by presenting papers at our 2025 Conference.
Speakers from the following audiences are needed:
• Engineers/consultants
• Fire services - incident commanders
• Fire services - fire cause investigation
• Fire services - fire safety
• Building surveyors
• Risk assessors
• Testing laboratories
• Other fire safety professionals
Submission guidelines
Please submit your abstracts of no more than 200 words by 17 March 2025.
Full papers will be invited for selected abstracts, with a limit of 600 words. All submissions will undergo a peer-review process.
Important dates
Abstract submission deadline: 17 March 2025
Notification of acceptance: 14 April 2025
Full paper submission deadline: 31 July 2025
Conference chair
IFE SA President, Mr Given Mgiba, will be the conference chair.
