Enhancing foam firefighting with Task Force Tips FoamJet Series

In firefighting operations, especially those involving flammable liquids or hazardous materials, foam is a critical tool. It suppresses vapours, smothers flames, and helps prevent reignition. However, for foam to be truly effective, it must be properly aerated to produce a high-quality finished blanket. The Task Force Tips (TFT) FoamJet Series provides a simple, lightweight, and effective solution to achieve just that. Aeration matters: Why use a foam attachment? Foam attachments, also known as aspirators, are essential for achieving optimal foam performance. These devices entrain air and mechanically agitate the foam solution at the point of discharge, resulting in low to medium expansion finished foam that offers improved stability, coverage and cling.
Whether used on a fuel spill, bund fire, or for exposure protection, the quality of foam application can be significantly enhanced with the right nozzle accessory.
Introducing the FoamJet, MX-FoamJet and FoamJet-LX
The FoamJet Series includes three variants: FoamJet, MX-FoamJet, and FoamJet-LX, all designed to quickly attach to the bumper of compatible TFT handheld and master stream nozzles, including the MasterFoam self-inducting nozzle. These attachments allow operators to convert water streams to finished foam effortlessly, enhancing operational versatility without needing complex systems. By combining a TFT handline with a compatible FoamJet, there's no longer a need for traditional bulky foam-only branch pipes, saving valuable locker space while improving foam application efficiency.
Each model is built to withstand the demands of frontline firefighting, with a fluid operating range from 1°C to 50°C and a storage range from -40°C to 65°C. The units are compact, easy to handle and clearly marked for compatibility with specific nozzles, streamlining field deployment and training.

AFFF and AR-AFFF
Synthetic Fluorine-free foam (SFFF)
This compatibility ensures that the system remains future-ready, supporting fire departments and industries transitioning to fluorine-free foam technologies in line with evolving environmental standards. Advancing the shift toward next-generation foams, the TFT Inductor is engineered for seamless integration with these new formulations, offering optimal compatibility with the FoamJet series of air-aspirating attachments.
When connected to a monitor setup, the FoamJet can also be used to create a gentle foam pourer by reducing nozzle pressure. This is particularly valuable for applications like hydrocarbon spills, where disturbing the foam blanket could reintroduce risk.
The MX-FoamJet allows operators to adjust expansion by rotating the nozzle bumper. Wider fog patterns increase foam expansion (with reduced reach), while straight streams provide a tighter pattern with longer throw. The FoamJet-LX is purpose-built for use in straight stream only and should not be used in fog mode, as this could cause blowback through the aspirator’s air inlets.
