Rise with Rural Metro: Final firefighter intake of 2025
When the flames rise, so does our strength. It takes teamwork, courage, resilience and determination to face the heat and push through every challenge. At Rural Metro Emergency Management Services, we believe that together, we conquer what seems impossible - and now, it’s your turn to rise! The fourth and final Firefighter Intake of 2025 begins on 6 October 2025 at the Rural Metro Training Academy. Accredited by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) and compliant with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, our training academy is internationally trusted to prepare firefighters for the frontline with skill, discipline and confidence.
Successful trainees will conclude their journey with a formal Pass-Out Parade, a proud moment where the IFSAC seal is displayed as a mark of international recognition. This qualification is not only a testament to hard work and resilience, but also a gateway to global opportunities in fire and rescue. Originating from the United States of America, IFSAC accreditation is recognised worldwide — ensuring that Rural Metro graduates can compete and serve at the highest level.
Rural Metro Emergency Management Services is honoured to be a voting member of the IFSAC Board, contributing to the future of international standards in fire service training and development. This involvement reflects our commitment to excellence and our responsibility in shaping the next generation of firefighters.
Looking ahead, the final intake commences in 2026 for specialised courses in Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Operations and Fire Fighter II, dates will be published in the 2026 Prospectus.
