The Stihl MS 462 C-M R chainsaw: Power when every second counts

When emergency situations demand speed, precision and uncompromising cutting performance, the Stihl MS 462 C-M R chainsaw is built to respond. Developed specifically for specialised applications, this high-performance petrol chainsaw combines Stihl power with advanced features designed for demanding rescue operations. At its core is a powerful 72.2cm³ Stihl 2-MIX engine delivering 4.4kW, while Stihl M-Tronic electronic engine management automatically regulates engine performance according to operating conditions. The result is dependable performance across changing conditions, helping professionals focus on the task at hand.
 
What sets the MS 462 C-M R apart is its ability to tackle challenging materials. Equipped with a Rapid Duro R carbide saw chain, it is designed for applications where conventional chainsaws may not be suitable, including cutting through materials such as sheet metal, corrugated bitumen and wire glass.
 
Designed with rescue professionals in mind, the saw features a cut-depth limiter with quick-release tensioner, allowing controlled plunge cuts up to approximately 20cm. A large starter grip also makes starting easier while wearing protective gloves, while the HD2 air filter and pre-separation system help provide extended filter service life in demanding, dusty environments.
