Best wishes for a very happy, safe and prosperous 2023!
We entered the ‘new normal’ in 2022 as the South Africa and the rest of the world tried to get back on its feet after the hard punch received from the COVID pandemic since beginning 2020. 2022 also brought extra challenges for South Africa as we had to deal with severe floods, social unrest and some large incidents ranging from chemical warehouse fires, major shopping mall fires and the most recent LP gas tanker explosion in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni.
The best that 2023 can provide us is to learn from the past and to move forward sharing our lessons with those around us. We need to grow from our past adversities and mistakes in order to grow to benefit not only ourselves and our colleagues but also our communities. As we enter 2023 with hope, well wishes, prayers and faith, let’s take time for deep reflection and move forward with optimism, confidence, courage and innovation, sharing a positive outlook with our team members, family, friends and community. Fire and Rescue International’s 2023 vision is to ensure that we provide our readers, advertisers and editorial contributors with the most effective platform to assist in growing leaders in the emergency services and to provide you with research and technical articles to not only increase skill levels but long-term development and progress as well.
