Cape Town Fire and Rescue crews rescued a cat from a church roof on Tuesday, 7 February 2023. Jermaine Carelse, spokesperson at the City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue Service, said, “We received the call at 07h56am of an animal in need of rescue. Goodwood Fire Station responded with a fire engine and an aerial appliance.”
He added, “Crews rescued the cat from the church roof at the corner of Smart Road and Hamilton Street in Goodwood. The cat was rescued with the aerial appliance at 09h07am and brought safely down. No injuries or damages were reported”
