Midvaal Local Municipality hosts annual Fit to Fight Fire Competition
Midvaal Fire Department will be hosting a Fit to Fight Fire Competition and Fire Expo in Meyerton on Saturday, 27 May 2023 at Midvaal Sport Centre. It will be a fun filled day with exhibitors and the Fit to Fight Fire Challenge. There will be a play area (jumping castles) for children and education sessions about dangers of fire in and around the house. The South African Police Service (SAPS) Equestrian Unit, South African National Blood Service, plenty of fire engines, K9 Unit, fire exhibitors, food stalls and a demonstration from ACCESS Professional Development in the handling of dangerous and venomous snakes will form part of the programme.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and fire extinguisher demonstrations will also be present on the day.
“We encourage all emergency services personnel to join us for the day. We are planning on having 200 competitors (all team event) and 2 500 community members to join us for the day”, said the Midvaal Fire Department.

• Event ends at 16h00
• Closing and prize giving
