Civilian killed after car hits fire engine; three fire fighters were transported to hospital, Memphis, US
A civilian was killed early Saturday, 17 December 2022, after their vehicle struck a Memphis fire engine on I-240 in Memphis, US. Three fire fighters and another occupant of the car were transported to a hospital for treatment. The Memphis Police Department said it happened around 03h20am at I-240 and Getwell. The Memphis Police Department said the fire truck was struck by a car.
One occupant of the car was dead on the scene, another was taken to Regional One in critical condition. The Memphis Fire Fighters Association Local 1784 said on its Facebook page, “Once again, a Memphis fire truck was struck while on the scene of an auto accident on I-240 this morning.
