Training: Fire fighter rapid intervention "Dragon Bag" Part 4a: Fire fighter RIT Deployment for low and out of air emergencies
This video will take the viewer through a variety of procedures that a RIT or FAST can employ to address a low or out of air emergency (using the "Dragon Bag" rescue air pack). Due to all the options covered, this video is further broken down into 4 parts (A, B, C and D). The features and components that will be reviewed are not necessarily exclusive to the Dragon Bag so any rapid intervention or fire fighter assist and search team can benefit from watching the demonstrations described in all 4 parts (A, B, C and D). Realise that the methods discussed are only some of options available to address a low or out of air emergency. The techniques shown may need to be modified based on the specific situation or emergency encountered. In the end it comes down to knowing the equipment carried in the Rescue Air Pack that YOUR department uses and how quickly and efficiently your team can deploy when a fire fighter is lost or trapped. Train, stay prepared, be aggressive, make the save - SURVIVE!
