The Second Annual Wildfire Expo for Central South Africa: 3 - 4 May 2024
This year the Free State Umbrella Fire Protection Association (FSUFPA) in collaboration with the Northern Cape UFPA (NCUFPA) and in partnership with the Working on Fire - Kishugu Joint Venture is proud to announce the Central South African Wildfire Expo. The organisers intend to increase general awareness of the veldfire risks within the central parts of South Africa trough delivery of accurate information on the annually increasing veldfire risk, while providing integrated fire management solutions and concepts to a broad audience in order to sensitise and inform land users, community influencers, the private business, National Corporates and NGOs. The Central South African Wildfire Expo is a public participation event that allows industry professionals, service and equipment providers, to interact with landowners and the broader public over two days packed with opportunities to display, demonstrate, explain, discuss and learn.
This interactive event intends to increase awareness and promote proactive wildfire risk management by providing private and public landowners access to products, services and information delivered in presentations, demonstrations and displays.
Items on the programme includes equipment demonstrations, aerial firefighting and air support, technical briefings and information sessions that incorporates a wide range of topics including climate change impacts, personal safety, insurance and veldfire risks, forensic investigations, technology use in veldfire management and other relevant topics presented by industry experts and fire management practitioners.
