Pafford EMS in the US donating ambulances to Ukraine
Pafford EMS, the largest family-owned ambulance service in the US, is spreading its public service across international borders by announcing the donation of three ambulances to an Atlanta-based humanitarian relief organisation called HelpingUkraine.us.
According to Pafford EMS officials, three of the ambulance vehicles will be coming from Mississippi. Organisers said the vehicles will help citizens and soldiers in the war-torn nation. "These ambulances are needed to get their soldiers off the battlefield to hospital where they can be treated," said Shane Davidson, chief operations officer for Pafford EMS.
The vehicles will make their way across the southeast before heading to Ukraine with the help of shipping company Wallenius Wilhelmsen, and logistics handled by Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC).
The vehicles are expected to arrive just in time for Ukraine's Independence Day, celebrated on 24 August 2023.
