Ekurhuleni crews respond to recycling warehouse in Brentwood Industrial Park
A fire broke out at Brentwood Industrial Park in Ekurhuleni on Friday, 30 October 2022 at 18h42. William Ntladi, district manager media liaison at Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) said, “The call was dispatched as a factory fire at 19h01 and crews responded at 19h03, arriving on scene at 19h13. The company deals with recycling material. One storeroom with bags full of plastic bottles was on fire.”
Ntladi added, “Farrarmere Fire Station responded with heavy duty rescue with four crew and Albertina Sisulu responded with a major pumper and six crew. Two private grass fire vehicles were already on scene fighting the fire. There were no injuries and crews returned to station at 20h28.
