Training: Fire fighter VRS: Rigging Option #1: Escape belt over the coat

​This video, along with the next 3 in the series, will review the four Belt and Harness Rigging options available to our personnel. The Escape Belt worn on the outside of the turnout coat is intended to work in conjunction with an "independent" system or one that is NOT pre-attached to a belt or harness. Just like anything else there are both advantages and disadvantages to not pre-connecting a PES/PSS/VRS to your belt or harness. The user needs to understand all the factors involved before they can make and educated decision on which setup they prefer.
