Industrial Fire & Hazard Control: Fire fighting foam testing
Annual testing of fire fighting foam is a critical requirement to evaluate that the foam is capable of performing its life and property saving function for which it was manufactured. History has shown that all foam concentrates deteriorate over time due to handling, storage and usage. The fire ground is no time to discover that the foam does not perform in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and manufacturing data. In order to ensure that your foam remains effective and meets the manufacturer’s specifications, an annual foam test should be undertaken. Industrial Fire & Hazard Control, as part of the Advanced Group, has a dedicated foam testing laboratory manned by a foam specialist in order to test assurance against the manufacturer’s specification. Following the test of a foam sample, a detailed report is issued, which contains detail of, amongst others, pH value, specific gravity, foam quality, viscosity, sediment, stability, etc.
Industrial Fire & Hazard Control supplies the required containers, sample collection instruction and all related detail for the correct collection of a sample. We are also available to collect the sample on behalf of the client. All samples are documented and recorded in our system to allow future tests to be compared against past tests to monitor the condition of the foam rear-on-year. Industrial Fire & Hazard Control supplies the complete range of premium foam brands….Williams Fire and Hazard Control, Skum, Sabo and Ansul as well as the required application equipment and fixed suppression systems.
